目的

ル・コルビュジエ設計の「アジール・フロッタン」がフランス・パリのセーヌ川に浮かんでいる。「アジール・フロッタン」（浮かぶ避難所）は、1929年にル・コルビュジェが救世軍の依頼で全長70ｍのコンクリート造の箱船を避難所として改造した船のプロジェクト名である。それから60年以上使用されてきたが、2006年からは現在の管理者である再生事業会社「簡略株式会社ルイーズ・カトリーヌ」に譲渡されて文化施設への修復プロジェクトが開始している。遠藤秀平建築研究所は、2006年に修復工事用シェルターの設計を依頼されたことをきっかけに、10年以上参画してきた修復プロジェクトのため、より多くの日本人に、コルビュジェの多様な活動を示す重要な作品として認識してもらえるよう、紹介することを目的とする。
内容
コルビュジェの作品として「アジール・フロッタン」を知る人はほとんどおらず、ル・コルビュジェ財団が保管している貴重な当時の資料も限られている。一方で、役割を変えながら100年近く浮かび続けるアジール・フロッタンには、石炭運搬船としての誕生から避難所への改修、その後の再生に至るまで、様々な人々が関わっており、複雑な背景を持っている。そのため、アジール・フロッタンの長い歴史の中から、ポイントとなる点をピックアップし、展示を見ることでその歴史や重要性まで、全ての来場者が大まかに理解することができるような展示内容とする。また、展覧会という特性を活かし、来場者がアジール・フロッタンを空間的な感覚を持って展示を見、その価値を伝えることができるような内容とする。
方法
主に図面・写真と模型、そして映像を用いて展示を行った。ル・コルビュジェ財団の全面的な協力によって展示が可能となった、当時の図面と写真は5つのテーマごとにパネルにまとめ、3Dプリンターによるモデルの展示と共に、計画段階から竣工後の使用の様子までを順番に追うことができるようにした。また、発泡スチロール製の1：5模型（全長約14ｍ、幅約2ｍ、高さ約1ｍ）の展示においては、船の前方部分は窓から内部を覗き込むことができ、内部には竣工当時に塗られていたと思われる青色を塗装した柱と、当時設置されていた形を再現したベッドを部分的に配置した。この他、現地で撮影した映像を上映し、音を会場に流すことで、地に建つ建築にはない、浮かんでいる船特有の水音や揺らぎ、光の動きを感じることができる展示とした。
結論・考察
本展覧会へは、4会場合計で約1800人の来場があった。東京展の開催時には、朝日新聞、毎日新聞をはじめとする7つの新聞社で採り上げられた。この他雑誌でも記事が掲載され、建築関係に限らず広く関心が寄せられた。またSNSでも展覧会に訪れた人々から好意的な反応が多く投稿されている。更なる巡回展の開催を希望する声もあり、首都圏だけでなく、全国的に多くの人々が「アジール・フロッタン」に興味を持ち、その重要性に関心を寄せていると考えられる。特に東京展での2週間ほどで約1,000人の来場者があったことは、人々の関心の高さを感じた。
また、会期中に日本建築設計学会を主体として、船の修復費用を集めることを目的としたクラウドファンディングが行われた。無事期間内に目標金額を超える形で達成された。
以上のことから十分に目的を達成できたと考えられる。

"Asile Flottant" is the project name of a ship that Le Corbusier repaired a 70 m long concrete ark as a refuge at the request of The Salvation Army in 1929.It has been used for more than 60 years, but since 2006 it has been transferred to the revitalization company "Association Louise Catherin" which is the current administrator, and the restoration project to cultural facilities has started.Endo Shuhei Architect Institute was invited to design a temporary shelter for Building and Construction, in 2006, restoration work. Since this, we have participated for restoration projects over 10 years. This exhibition aims to introduce to more Japanese people for restoration projects.
There are few people who know "Asile Flottant", and precious materials of the time that keeping by the Le Corbusier Foundation are limited.Meanwhile, Asile Flottant, which continues to float on The Seine for nearly 100 years, has a complex background.Therefore, the exhibition contents were planed to all visitors can understand and up to their history and importance by looking at the exhibition.Also, we would like to make the exhibition of Asile Flottant to be able to seen with a sense of spatial by visitors.
The main exhibits are drawings, photographs, models, and movies. Drawings and photographs of the time by the Le Corbusier Foundation were compiled in five panels for each of the five themes and showed from the planning stage to the state of use after the construction.In addition, in the exhibition of 1: 5 model made of polystyrene foam (total length of about 14 m, width of about 2 m, height of about 1 m), it is partially possible to look inside. There are pillars painted blue and models of beds that were installed at the time were arranged. (This "blue" is thought to be same of it painted at the time of completion.)Besides this, by playing the video that be shot at the site, it is an exhibition that visitors can feel the movement of the water sound, fluctuation, light that is unique to the floating boat that is not found in the ground.
To this exhibition, there were about 1,800 visitors (totaling 4 venues). About the Tokyo Exhibition, introductory articles were published by seven newspaper companies including The Asahi Shimbun and The Mainichi Newspaper.Also at SNS, many positive reactions have been posted from people who visited the exhibition.There are also opinions that wish to organize further traveling exhibitions from throughout the country. It was found from the result that many people are interested in "Asile Flottant" and are considered to be interested in its importance.Especially there were about 1000 visitors in the Tokyo exhibition held on about 2 weeks, I felt the high interest of people.During the exhibition, Architectural Design Association of Nippon (ADAN) did a crowdfunding for aimed at gathering restoration expenses, and was achieved in a manner exceeding the target amount within the period.
Based on the above, it seems that the objective has been sufficiently achieved.
